Paint Party January 27, 2012

We got a lot done today, spreading out all of the papers so that I could assess quantities (a challenge - it's difficult to gauge how much we'll need), filling in holes in the spot colors and reworking some of the sheets to get the kinds of puddling effects I'm after.

The other important task was to work on the ceiling pendants. They need to blend in to the grayish whites of the high ceilings in the hallways, yet have enough color range to be interesting. These pieces are created mostly on recycled cardboard to incorporate a sense of the building's daily, pedestrian function and to reflect some of the products consumed in the running of the place such as toilet paper, coffee and office supplies.
