Paintings you can listen to | Studio update

In response to the almost daily discoveries in space reported by NASA, the European Space Agency, the Canadian Space Agency and other astronomical organizations worldwide, as well as to the technology that permeates our modern lives, I create paintings called starsystems.

I then read the paintings like musical scores to make rdiowavs, the sonic counterparts to the paintings. The result is a painting you can listen to, called a starwav.

The exploration of space as a means to broadening our options as a species, understanding our origins and that of our planet, and the continued refinement of technology for the benefit of humankind are some of the most important endeavors of our time. My work as an artist is a small response to the work of scientists. It is the way I know to spread my excitement about these discoveries.

Related parts of this project will involve education, commerce, science fiction, costume design, photography and graphic design in addition to art, science and music.

This work is my obsession! I look forward to sharing it with you as it unfolds. You can view finished works as I post them on my rdioglxy page, so check back frequently. As always, thanks for visiting.
